10th AUG 2015: 3 days of detox, gymnastics session, strength + WOD

Monday is gymnastics day with my coach, Jonas Thylstrup. I’m training with sweet Cilie. Great motivation with a gymnastics training buddy.


  • 5 strict ring MUs (7-10 sec down)


  • Deep ring dips: 1 rep + theresfter 5 sec bottom hold x 10 reps


  • 10 reps skin the cat progressions


  • 15 reps back activated C2B chin-ups


3 rounds:

  • Strict T2B progressions: 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 reps
  • 20 sec L-sit hold


  • 3 x 5 sec handstand hold to handstand walk incl turn


3 rounds:

  • 3 supine wide grip ring rows
  • 10 hip touches (harder version of shoulder touches) – video


Training with Philip. Good to have him back from vacation.

  • Good mornings (10 reps): 20-30-35-35-30-30-20 kg
  • Pause back squat (3 reps, 3 sec bottom hold): 75 kg x 5 sers
  • Shoulder press (3 reps): 35-37-37-35-35-35 kg
  • Stiff-legged deadlifts (Ed Coan style): 5 x 5 reps @ 55 kg

Back to serious strength training. Focus on squats and posterior chain. Quite tired today after Saturday’s crazy WOD.


For time:

  • 50 alternating pistols
  • 50 m handstand walk
  • 50 m walking lunges
  • 50 kipping HSPUs (82 cm)
  • 50 air squats

I’m finishing a 3 day detox powered by Slowjuice Copenhagen today. I’ve had evening headache all 3 days and slept poorly, but I’m feeling SO much better. It’s been tough mentally training while detoxing, but it went much better than expected. Today it felt like my body finally relaxed and I’ve been sweating while training like I never tried before. It’ll for sure be a tradition for me to reset body and mind 1 or 2 days each month. 

My goal is to be able to control my hypothyroidism, and this detox is brillian for that purpose as well.

I  have been drinking:

  • Lemon water
  • Herbal tea
  • Juice with beetroot, apple, lemon, ginger
  • Juice with romaine salad, mint, apple, cucumber, lemon, spinach
  • Coconut water
  • Water
